I was demonstrating the making of ash hay rakes, whilst other members of the Devon Rural Skills Trust were showing other skills like stick making, cane seating and the making of straw bee skeps. Sue sold 2 rakes and some other handmade wooden pieces eg stool and £77 was the total. That will buy 8 pairs of leather shoes for instance and help get 8 nippers to school. Every little bit counts. Incidentally it was a very enjoyable show and there were many families there.
