Voyage to Chagford

David was asked to speak about the voyage to Gaza by the Chagford group for World Stability on Sunday 13 April. About 50 folk had gathered in the medieval Endecott House. A candle was lit for Hope, and another for Peace. The visitor is asked to dedicate the third and David chose 12 yr old Ali Ismaeel Abbas from Baghdad who lost his mother,father,brother and his hands.
The motivation for the mission was explained and then Yousef's video was shown with a few minutes of sound recording by David at Khan Younis inserted within it. The future plans were given. Finally, there was discussion of the Israeli/Palestinian conflict in the wider context particularly in regard to the war on Iraq.
